On a hot, sunny evening in a match played in a great spirit (all credit
to Pacific for a great attitude throughout), the batsmen had the better of
it, but after Island's 17 yr old captain Tanjeem Chowdhury hit Pacific's
Gleadow for 5 boundaries in the 5th over (on pitch 3!!!), Island never fell
behind the required run rate.
Despite losing two quick wickets after an opening stand of 109, they won
comfortably in the end to stay top of Division Two. |
