Caledonian Conquerors v Central London
|
| Wednesday 4 June 2008, Victoria Park |
Caledonian Conquerors beat Central London by 7 wickets
Central London: 128 for 5 in 16 overs
Terry 51 Not out
Caledonian Conquerors: 130 for 1 in 10.2 overs
Trevor 50 Not Out
Jammet 29 Not Out
Amir 19 Not Out
Central London won the toss & elected to bat. Their openers were to
provide the sternest test for the Callies' bowlers. Terry led from the front
and his unbeaten 50 was the cornerstone of the Central London Innings. 128
looked like a testing total considering the damp slow outfield and the
massive boundaries on pitch 3. However Callies were up to the challenge,
with some blistering hitting from Trevor and the deft touch and elegant
stroke play of Jammette. Cally's cantered to victory with 5.4 overs to
spare. Trevor's half century was executed with responsibilty and timing.
Cally's were in the mood.
