Old Fallopians won the toss and fielded first
London Fields: 115 for 1 in 9.2 overs
Karl Lacis 49*
Paul Teasdale 39*
John Stebbins 2-0-11-0
Peter Frisby 2-0-18-0
Old Fallopians: 111 for 4 overs
Aman Pattar 33
Rafe Smallman 26*
Paul Turley 4-0-24-1
Arthur Smart 3-0-22-1
The match was punctuated by an excellent runout by Old Fallopian John
Shaw, who deflected an extremely well hit Paul Teasdale straight drive onto
the non-stiker's stumps with his foot! This left the solid looking debutant
Fields' opener Faraaz Samadi who was backing up a few meters out of his
crease, high and dry. He could only look on in disbelief as the Fallopians
ran up to congratulate the amazing, fleet of foot, John Shaw. Unfortunately
for the Fallopians this would be their only highlight in the field, as the
London Fielders aided by the clean-hitting Karl Lacis and excellent stroke
play of Paul Teasdale reached the victory target comfortably with 6 wickets
in hand.
