Wednesday 6 May 2009, Victoria Park

Adnan K 3-10-1

Martins arrived with a only 4 players thus there was a slight delay in the proceedings (thus game reduced to 14 over aside). However once the Game did get under way Martins won the toss and put Masiha into bat.

Martins struck early by taking 2 early wickets, however Masiha were able to take advantage the open gaps left by the non existent Martins fielders and Raheel and Rizwan (Masiha's guest for the day) powered their way to a quick fire 50 each, this in turn paved the way for the Masiha captain to tickle his way to a unbeaten 29. Masiha finished on a club record 188 for 3 of 13.5 overs. Martins in reply started well though this was mainly down to a wayward start by a few of the Masiha opening bowlers (no names mentioned) however once the bowlers got their lines back this game was a foregone conclusion,(though it must be said Martians had put up a very valiant effort concedering they were missing more than a few players) A classic case of you can only beat what is put in front of you.
