This was built up as Tuffnell Parkians debut game in VPCCL. After winning
the toss they decided to put Masiha in to bat. This was much to Masiha's
suprise. However, they duly obliged by getting their batting gear on nice
and quickly.
Once the game got underway Tufnell struck early by taking the wicket
of stand-in captain Kashif Siddique on 4, however this bought together the
all-action partnership of Raheel and Ahmed who blasted Masiha out of
trouble, Raheel making a second back to back 50* before retiring and Ahmed a
powerful 42.
Jamal and Rizwan also managed to hit double figures making 15 and 11
respectfully. Masiha saw fit to declare on 143/6 from their 13 overs as the
light was not too great.
In return Tuffnell Parkians started like a house on fire with the very
first ball of there innings going for four. However, Parkians were unable to
sustain there gung ho tactics for too long thus lost the top order quickly
and rather cheaply, Adnan Khan picking up 3 for 15 from from his 4 overs.
By the time Parkians decied to move to plan B it was too little too
late meaning the last wicket partnership of Sam and Dominic for 40 run was
all in vain. All in all a very comfortable win for Masiha.
