Tufnell Parkians won the toss and chose to bat first
Tufnell Parkians: 83 for 7 in 11 overs
J Harper 32
Culley 4 for 33
Greening 1 for 8
Old Ranwellians: 85 for 3 overs
Terry Ford 22 not out

A very poor batting performance from Tufnell Parkians meant a meagre
total was needed by Old Ranwellians.

Old Ranwellians sealed their first league win in their debut season in
comfortable fashion after four early wickets from Culley ripped the guts out
of the Parkians' innings. Their innings with Old Ranwellians needing only 84
to win.
Tufnell Parkians produced a fine bowling display to limit the run rate for
Ranwell. Eaton lost his wicket for just 6 runs early on after chasing a wide
ball and deflecting it onto his own stumps so Hudson and Greening set about
a steady partnership to take the team half way to their target - Hudson
doing particularly well to see off the opening pace attack. At the loss of
both wickets Culley (10*) and Ford overcame the tight lines of the Parkians
to ensure the victory - Ford (22*) providing the big boundaries needed to
seal the game and set up Old Ranwellians as contenders for the division four
crown.
