Soyfur Rahman 4-0-32-1
Victoria Park Juniors: 151 for 3 in 16 overs

The Juniors gave Sky a very good start on pitch three and after just four
overs Sky rocketed to a total of 53 without loss. Sky's opener Aleem hit a
quick fire 50 and struck ten fours to the boundary.
Sky were looking to
score at least 200 especially as they had wickets in hand with the score at
101 after eight overs. The Juniors began to bowl straighter and fuller and
were rewarded with a brace of wickets.
Jem Carter took figures of 2 for 34
and was very unlucky not to get more wickets to his name; two drop catches
in one over cost the Juniors of putting a halt to Sky's innings early. From
14 overs Victoria Park did very well to peg back Sky's run rate with the
score at 161 for 5.
In the last two overs Sky's Imran Khan accelerated and
scored 35 runs to push Sky's grand total to 196.
The Juniors needed just over twelve runs an over for victory. Despite losing
an early wicket the Juniors got off to a good start .
Mehdi scored a rapid
50 and Jamshaid Mirza was scoring freely before he was dismissed for 25.
Sky's opening bowler Hassan bowled tightly claiming two wickets for 24.
After eleven overs the Juniors scored 110 runs, still short of the required
rate; normally this would have been a very good competitive start especially
on pitch three. In the end the rate was beyond the reach of the Juniors as
they reached 151 in their 16 overs.
Sky were very well deserved winners and
the best of luck to them in their quest for silverware.
