Martians won by 21 runs
Regents lost the toss and were put into field
Martians: 132 for 5 in 16 overs
Regents: 111 for 7 in 14.2 overs
Farmar 69
A keenly contested game until the latter stages of the Regents chase,
with both sides feeling the hot and sticky conditions. After an even start
to the Martians inning, some good bowling from Walsh (3 wickets) and
Donnellan pegged back the end of innings charge.
Special mention should go to Donnellan for his well executed off
cutter, which went through the gate and took off the bails, only to see the
stumps swing back and forth. Chasing a competitive total of 133, Regents
started solidly, with Farmar in particular continuing his good form.
However, none of the other batsmen could get going, and as the run
rate increased, the wickets fell. A glimmer of hope was offered by Farmar's
return (after retiring on 50*), before he was bowled for 69. - Jake
