ELCCC's captain won the toss and elected to bat. London Field's opening
bowler paul bowled a superb opening over and gave only 2 runs away keeping
boom boom altaf and shak tucked down. Warren came to do the next over and
some lose bowls allowed ELCCC openers to get loose and get in the rythym and
boundries started to flow all around the park.
Altaf again scored a n/o 50 making a tally of total 5 fifties in 9 VPCCL
games this season. shak (17), syed(16), yasir(16), Umar(18), waheed(17)
iqbal (13n/o) and mohit (22n/o) played excellently to put on a decent total
of 197 for 5 in 16 overs. London Fields batsmen made a decent start and the
run was kept around 10 in the begining but wickets at regualr intervals
never allowed any partnership to build up and they fell 83 runs short. Only
Robin (32) and teas (21n/o) were able to reach double figures.
Waheed took 2 excellent wickets of both openers to ensure ELCCC was in
control to defend. An excellent game played in the right spirit. Thanks to
London Fields players to put on a disciplined and gentlemen like attitude.
Good luck to both team for upcoming games.
