London Fields won by 43 runs
London Fields won the toss and chose to bat first
London Fields: 182 for 6 in 16 overs
Steve Donelan 62 no
Will Isaac 28
Steve Donelan 4-0-23-0 Chris Rice 3-0-18-2
Homerton: 139 for 4 in 16 overs
Lawrence 53
John 35
Woodman 4-0-34-2 John 3-0-31-1
LFCC's batsmen all contributed well but it was Steve Donelan’s 62 no that
really put the total beyond Homertons reach. There was some excellent
bowling from Woodman who took 3 of the first 4 wickets and John got it to
move around making life very difficult.
Homerton started their innings very well and were well up with the
required run rate in the opening 6 overs, despite some decent bowling from
Phil Clark and Ben Sanders.
Will Isaac got the break through and despite some excellent stroke
play from John, the combination of Steve Donelan, Chris Rice and Shannon
McKenzie made life very difficult for Homerton to ease the scoreboard
pressure.
In the end the total was beyond the reach of the Homerton batsmen. It
was a very well fought match with LFCC winning by 43 runs.
