London Fields won by 4 wickets
London Fields won toss and decided to field
Dynamite Ducks: 118 for 4 in 12 overs
London Fields: 119 for 3 in 11.2 overs
Robin Friend 42 no
Will Isaac 24
Chris Rice 24 no
Chris Skinner 3-0-23-2 Dave Krohn 2-0-17-1 Will Isaac 3-0-24-1
Due to the poor weather we reduced the game to 12 overs. LFCC won the toss
and decided to put the Ducks into bat in tricky conditions. LFCC bowled
beautifully and there were few moments where the Ducks batsmen were able get
on top.
The run rate was restricted to under 10 an over and regular wickets fell.
Skinner and Krohn both bowled exceptional spells at the death to restrict
the Ducks to 118/6 Friend and Isaac opened for LFCC with their usual quick
running and quickly bought the run rate down.
Isaac was eventually run out from excellent fielding but McKenzie and Rice
followed up with some solid batting to support Friend. But it was Colonel
Sanders who was left with the charge of hitting the winning runs, he kept
his nerve and did it with 4 balls to spare.
It was a great performance with the ball, backed up with enthusiasm and
superb fielding which set the game up for the LFCC batsmen to bat solidly to
bring home a 4 wicket victory. The cup run beghins.....
