Chinatown v Dynamite Ducks
|
Tuesday 7 May 2013, Victoria Park |
Chinatown won by 2 runs
Chinatown won the toss and chose to bat first
Chinatown: 105 for 6 in 16 overs
Arafat 33
Joe 24
Faris 23
Munnah 2-30
Dynamite Ducks: 103 for 6 in 16 overs
Z Hussain 39
H Shah 24
Azlan 2-6
Faris and Arafat got Chinatown off to a bright start but gradually accurate
bowling (helped by the long grass in the outfield) slowed the run rate and
105 hardly looked a winning total.
The Ducks lost both openers within two overs but a 50 partnership by Hussain
and Shah put them in a winning position until wickets fell, the scoring rate
slowed, and they finished just short with the last pair at the crease.
