A win for the Tigers on a cold and windy June evening.
With both teams short of a full team at the start of play, the Pumas won the
toss and elected to bat first.
It was a slow but solid start by the Pumas but eventually a breakthrough was
made by the Tigers in the 5th over.
Wickets then started to fall regularly but with Bowker holding firm at one
end.
A later flurry by Slade saw the Puma's tail wag and they made it to 82 off
their 16 overs.
It was the Tigers turn to bat and Turner proceeded to treat everyone to a
masterclass on how not to run a quick single. Out retiree, Hannon, looked
like Usain Bolt in comparison.
Eventually some semblance of form returned and Turner started to gently
nudge the ball around.
There was able support from Hannon and Cook and the Tigers fairly
comfortably reached the total with 3 overs to spare - with Turner carrying
his bat.
The game was played in good spirit.
