Junoon CC faced Old Fallopians as their 2nd league game opponents on
pitch 1. JCC lost the toss and were put into bat.
The openers started on a positive note and full of attack, with boundaries
coming regularly, SAF making his 50 and then Hassan getting caught on 48
didn't worry JCC too much as there was plenty of batting to come still.
Finally JCC finished on 162, an above par score and just over 10 an over
required for OF.
OF started their run chase brilliant, ybwith 16 of the first over, and runs
coming from all directions.
The JCC skipper had to rethink his bowling strategy quickly and brought on a
change which worked wonders straight away as wickets started to tumble, and
runs started to dry up.
Some good catches taken, and a couple of run outs brought JCC on top again,
and OF tried hard to hit the boundaries which were so desperately required
at the later stage of the game.
Finally OF finished on 137, 23 runs short of a victory.
A good positive game played in good spirits by both sides.
