A fine win for the Bengal Tigers against an upbeat Masiha.
The Tigers won the toss and elected to bat.
Rahil and Hari opened the bowling for Masiha. Hari in particular was
bowling well with a series of near perfect outswingers that bamboozled
Abhijit.
However, Rob then cracked a boundary and the ball henceforth never gave a
hint of swing.
With Rob out for 16, Abhijit and Arj came together at the crease and scored
a fantastic century partnership with plenty of extras and a lightening fast
outfield helping the score along.
Abhijit and Arj tried to run themselves out several times but each time
Masiha failed to capitalise.
Chasing 163 was always going to be difficult but Masiha gave it a go. Rahil
batted excellently but crucially was caught out just 4 runs short of
retiring.
For a change it appeared that Warren put a bit of effort into his bowling
and eventually the run chase proved too much.
Thanks to Masiha for being such gracious opposition.
