AGM 2012 notice | Back to News IndexDate of 2012 AGM - Message from League Secretary Saj Rehman[PLEASE NOTE - THE AGM HAS BEEN MOVED TO WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 1] Sent 20 December 2011 Dear All, On behalf of the
VPCCL committee I hope you are well and getting some deserved rest from your
cricketing commitments of 2011. Given this
situation, we as a committee have been working for some time to try and secure
facilities for our 2012 season and this has involved meetings and liaison with
the ECB, MCB, Tower Hamlets and Hackney councils. Options located reasonably
close by are all being/have been pursued including Millfields park, London
fields, Springfield, Hackney Marshes, Millwall and Wray Crescent.
Despite this, and until final confirmation from Hackney and Tower Hamlets
Council as to exactly what is available and when, we are still hopeful for a
full season and if not, we can arrange another league format, albeit shortened,
with perhaps no cup competition or early round qualifiers, meaning that teams
will likely stay in the divisions they finished last season and there will be no
new teams unless we fall short of our quota. Please note as a result of the factors detailed above, we have had to bring the AGM forward from March to January 2012, which has provisionally been booked at the; Royal Inn on the Park, Lauriston Road, Hackney, at 7pm on Tuesday 31st January 2012. · Instead of the full season’s fee, you are requested to bring along £100.00 deposit to be paid by this date or on this date, at the AGM, with the rest due by April 1st 2012. · Any teams failing to show for the AGM will not be guaranteed a place in the 2012 season. · Any teams failing to provide the £100 will also not be considered for the 2012 season.
Rest assured, we are trying our hardest to make VPCCL 2012 an extensive and
enjoyable season as is possible under the circumstances. However we do need your
prompt responses to this email, firstly, to confirm your attendance at the Jan
AGM and secondly, to pass on any concerns or suggestions you may have.
